Skills/Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills Experience Required
• Sound knowledge and experience gained in a commercial environment with a proven track record in product management / development.
• Specialist knowledge in a product field. Functional Skills
• Analytical Thinking - Able to analyse available data / information sources in order to identify and interpret performance indicators, as well as identifying trends and opportunities.
• Commercial Acumen - Able to develop complex business cases, presenting a clear proposition, appreciation of customer experience impacts and financial benefits.
• Insights - Have an understanding of customers, industry, competitor activity and market position. Be able to analyse these information sources in order to appropriately design products and processes.
• Financials - Have an in-depth understanding of all financials relating to a specific product (e.g. revenue, margins, profit, back book, taxation and pricing).
• Legal/regulatory and compliance - Have an awareness of all legal, regulatory and compliance issues relating to a specific product area. Will keep abreast of developments and implement changes to ensure continuing company compliance.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities
•Product management - Monitors deposit account product performance, with an awareness of key performance indicators and conduct risk / quality indicators. Uses available MI in order to identify issues and opportunities. •Develop an appreciation of the financial performance of the product set and key financial drivers.
•Opportunity identification and proposition development - Effectively manage deposit account proposition, developing and identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and profitability and managing initiatives through business case development, to approval and implementation.
