Liability Specialist Job in San Antonio
PUBLIC LIABILITY
SPECIALIST I
VIA is currently seeking candidates for the position of Public Liability Specialist I. This position will be responsible for investigating, processing and evaluating all third party claims involving company vehicles, property and/or employees. Also responsible for reviewing all types of claim files for subrogation potential. Interprets and applies governmental statutes and immunities to claim files. Must be able to negotiate and deal with attorneys and claimants in a clear and understanding manner. Must have working knowledge of applicable Federal and State statutes including the Texas Tort Claims Act. Must be able to perform all phases of analytical work, using various computer programs, maps, schedules and other tracking applications. Must have completed high school or the equivalent plus additional applicable business school, college or trade training courses. Must have an adjuster's license. Must have at least two (2) years current experience in a related field. Additional related education or experience may be used in determining an equivalent combination. Public entity experience desirable. Starting salary $3,597 month plus a range of flexible benefits to include an on-site child development center, family medical coverage, defined benefit pension plan and 457b, group life insurance, dental care plan, vision plan, tuition reimbursement, opportunities for advancement and more.
