Licensed Agency Billing Compliance Auditor
VNSNY Licensed Agency Billing Compliance Auditor, Full-Time
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Audits, analyzes and reviews VNSNY systems and workflows to ensure the accuracy and compliance of paraprofessional services billed to VNSNY by licensed agencies. Works under general direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts regular audits of VNSNY systems and system applications to ensure that paraprofessional visits are processed timely and to ensure that third party payers are billed accurately.
- Identifies deficiencies, shares findings with supervisor and makes recommendations for improvement. Manages user ID and password administration for Contract Administration and licensed agencies.
- Interprets, evaluates and assists with the resolution of inquiries from Contract Administration and licensed agency staff pertaining to the functional operations of all VNSNY systems.
- Communicates all complex and unresolved issues to supervisor for intervention as necessary. Researches discrepancies for all unreconciled paraprofessional visits in a timely manner in collaboration with regional clinical staff and licensed agency staff.
- Conducts regular on-site audits at licensed agencies to ensure that agencies adhere to VNSNY and State visit compliance standards and expectations. Conducts follow up audits as necessary when licensed agencies do not meet guidelines. Reviews audit findings and plans of correction with supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate Degree in related field required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years of financial analysis or auditing experience required. Health care setting and billing experience preferred. Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills are required. Proficiency in personal computer software application (e.g. Microsoft Windows: Word, Excel) required.
