Purpose of the Position

 

Service, sell and manage personal lines insurance or other types of insurance as needed through our current carriers. Work in an office that believes the customer comes first at all times.

 

Scope

This agent will work closely with the current team of agents in pursuing the levels of sales and client care that is a trademark of this agency.

 

Responsibilities

-          Continue to learn about new products and services available to clients – developing new accounts and account rounding opportunities within the parameters of the state and current carriers.

-          Communicate coverage, premiums and any pertinent information, regarding their policies to the client.

-          Contact all policyholders to explain the policy as well as analyze their coverage – offering additions or changes.

-          Communicate professionally with underwriters to obtain eligibility approval, review coverage exposures, review premiums.

-          Work directly with clients when reporting and/or reviewing claims.

-          Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, including the completion of forms, inspections, etc…

-          Maintain copious files and notes following specific procedures outlined by Walker Poole.

-          Seek out new clients by networking and marketing the products you provide.

-          Service and sell all lines of personal insurance.

-          Support in the service and sales of commercial and life policies.

-          Willing to support and work with the team of Walker Poole agents growing the book of business both in policy count, in quality new and existing business, agency contests, and in respect for the name of Walker Poole.

-          Know the products so well that you can ask the appropriate questions and know what to do with the answer.

-          Follow agency standardized methods and procedures regarding coverage offerings and disclosures in order that we prevent EO exposure.

-          Retain complete confidentiality with talking with clients and prospective clients.

Requirements

-          Licensure – current Property and Casualty Resident License (MD, DC, or VA preferred)

-          Strong aptitude for Computer Skills

-          Provide copy of CE Education (2 years)
