Touchstone Wellness Center is now seeking applicants for massage therapist positions at its new east side, Bloomington, Indiana location. Nestled just off the main commercial district, we are developing a fine therapeutic massage and yoga facility with 6 treatment rooms and a yoga room.
This is a great opportunity for massage therapists seeking on-going professional support and development from veteran therapists. We are creating a top-notch therapeutic team, working on the cutting edge of the wellness field. Our primary criterion for hiring is the openness to learning. We value a mindbody approach with emphasis on excellent communication skills, based fundamentally in listening skills, listening both through language and touch.
We seek Indiana-licensed massage therapists with at least one year of professional experience. We currently offer full-employee status, with pay at $22 per 1-hour session, plus tips, with 50% of Social Security and Medicare paid by employer, paid vacation plan after first year, unlimited free yoga classes, and monthly massage from peer, paid by the company.
Owner/directors Sharrel and Joseph Boike each have over 30 years professional experience in the bodywork field and will hold weekly training sessions ongoing. Our expertise lies in the fields of Trigger Point therapy, Body Psychotherapy, voluntary control of relaxation, and yoga as an awareness-building practice. We both teach technique at Bloomington’s massage school (Associates of Integrative Health). Other advanced modalities will also be taught during the weekly training sessions.
