The Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Saranac Lake is seeking a highly flexible, multifunctional LPN that will perform the following functions and responsiblitites:
- Screening and direct nursing care activities which support the Primary Care patient
- Specialized procedures/functions such as but not limited to venipunctures and collection of lab specimens, finger sticks, immunizations, bladder scanning, dressing changes, and injections
- All aspects of preparation and care for the patient during his/her Primary Care visit
- Monitoring and tracking preventative measures for patients within the teamlet
- May cross cover other teamlets in Primary Care
The LPN should possess:
- Computer competencyin CPRS, Clinical Reminders and Appointment Manager that support the Primary Care Provider
- Communication skills especially in regards to telephone etiquette
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to interact with patients, families, community providers and staff members
Qualification Requirements:
- Citizen of the United States
- Graduate of a NLN accredited or State approved School of Nursing approved by the appropriate State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed
- Current licensure as a licnsed practical or vocational nurse
- 2 years 6 months experience working as an LPN
- Proficiency in English required
- BLS Certification required (May be obtained within 30 days of appointment)
- Must have a current active, unrestricted driver's license
