Licensed Practical Nurse – Scranton (PT 4 hrs M

The Licensed Practical Nurse must understand and implement NHS Human Services' policies and procedures relating to standard precautions, incident management/critical event reporting, medication dispensing, storage and safety. Maintain confidentiality regarding client and department information.  Medication administration as needed, including completing record audits.  Ensure appropriate doctors’ orders for medication are on file. Monitor side effects of medication. Assessment of self administration of medication.

Perform all duties and responsibilities of a staff nurse.  Ensure that the proper flow of relevant information (student/cadet information, unit problems) is disseminated to all appropriate personnel.  Maintain all assigned medical records. Ability to administer medical first aid promptly and efficiently, as needed, without explicit direction.
