Licensure Officer & Director of Placement and Field Experience Job in North Andover 01845, Massachusetts US

Merrimack College’s School of Education invites applications for the position of Licensure Officer Director of Placement and Field Experience.  This individual will be part of the new Office of Placement, Partnerships Licensure.  This new position will serve as the licensure officer of the School of Education and direct the field experience and placement of undergraduate and graduate students pursuing teacher licensure.  This is a full-time 12-month administrative position, starting on July 2, 2012.

 

Minimum qualifications for the position:

·         Master's degree required

·          Minimum experience of four (4) years teaching and/or administration in K-12 public schools

·         Teaching and/or administrative experience in higher education preferred

·         Demonstrated organizational, technological, collaboration and communication skills within an educational institution

·         Salary commensurate with education and experience.

 

The School of Education offers over two dozen licensure and non-licensure academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including new undergraduate majors in Human Development and STEM Education and new graduate programs in Higher Education and Community Engagement.  The School of Education also houses the Center for Engaged Democracy, The Graduate Institute for Education, and the Center for Youth and Families.  More information on the School of Education can be found at www.merrimack.edu/schoolofeducation.
