Life Skills Assistant Job in Southwark, London UK
We are currently looking to recruit two Life Skills Assistants to assist the Support Worker in providing housing related support to vulnerable adults lone working in the community or in a scheme. To work flexibly to ensure individual needs are met whilst maximising independence and choice and respecting privacy and dignity.
You will give advice and practical assistance to Service Users in order to sustain their tenancies, including benefits, budgeting, paying bills and accessing appropriate services and support service users to use local services and facilities, including health services, education and work opportunities .
The successful applicant will have experience of providing advice and support to develop individuals life skills and daily routines. You will also have understanding of the Service User group and of health and safety issues relating to care and support of vulnerable people.
You will have availability for working unsocial hours, weekends and public holidays on a rota basis and a basic level of IT literacy.
It would be desirable to have experience of working with the Service User and have
knowledge of welfare benefits system.

Salary: £12,888 per annum, pro rata

Hours: 37.5 per week
