Lifeguard
PRG Real Estate Management is looking to hire Full-time and Part-time lifeguards for the summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day) at one of our properties in Lancaster, PA.
A Lifeguard is responsible for the safety and orderly behavior of the residents, their families, and guests while in the pool area. Directly responsible for the cleanliness of the pool and pool area. Insures proper operations of the pool equipment reporting any malfunctions.
Position Description:
- Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, American with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to housing.
- Opens and closes the pool on time.
- Checks that all persons inside the pool area possess a current swimming pool pass.
- Enforces pool regulations and maintaining order.
- Maintains pools, chemicals, circulation system, and safety equipment and rules according to established guidelines.
- Maintains proper pH and acid levels in accordance with local health standards and complete proper records for readings and chemical usage.
- Sweeps the pool area, picks up trash, and empties trashcans into the dumpster and maintain the restrooms on an as needed basis.
- Reports any accidents or unusual circumstances to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor immediately.
- Reports any maintenance problems to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
- Maintains daily reports accurately and turn into Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor daily.
- Conforms to company-approved dress code.
- Performs additional duties requested by the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
Education / Work Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of lifeguarding experience preferred.
- Possesses a valid Lifeguard Training/Rescue, First Aid and CPR Certification as required by state law. (Company will reimburse qualified candidates for the Lifeguard certification, if obtaining after hire.)
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, or holidays as necessary.
