CPL Cork has been retained by one of their key clients to partner in the sourcing and selection of a LIMS Systems Specialist

Job Description

Scope:

Responsibility for standardising systems across all labs while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards. Responsibility for driving lean initiatives across all labs.

Responsibility:

• Responsibility for standardising systems across all Labs ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards e.g. PM, Calibration, Purchasing, LIMS etc.

• Responsibility for the implementation and maintenance/update of LIMS across all Labs, administration of the system and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards

• Responsibility for the implementation, upgrade and maintenance of all laboratory software systems, including Empower, administration of these systems and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards.

• Support the laboratory Calibration and Preventative maintenance system/schedules

• Responsibility for monitoring QA Spend and maintaining inventory levels in accordance with budget limits

• Responsibility for maintaining GATE (Training application) for the Lab Group.

• Responsibility for Driving Lean initiatives across the Labs ensuring all targets for cost reductions are met

• Laboratory Improvement programs

• Providing Troubleshooting support to all Labs

• Review of laboratory results.

• Training of Lab and Production personnel

• Contribution to continuous improvements in the lab and quality group

• Responsible to derive and maintain annual budgets for data support contracts

• Has responsibility for the implementation of those parts of the Millipore quality system relating to the laboratory QA function.

• Updates, reviews and drafts quality documentation such as test methods and standard operating procedures, management procedures and protocols.

Desired Skills Experience

Knowledge, Skills Experience
B.Sc in Chemistry/,Microbiology or a related discipline.
A minimum of 5 years practical experience including experience in LIMS and Empower software systems.
Demonstrates analytical and interpersonal skills.
Proactive in delivering results.
Strong communication skills.
Persistent self starter.
