Line Production/ Machine Operator (Skilled Unskilled)

General Function-

Responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to prep work for operations in a machine-driven environment in which the machines fill and label the products, rotating between line positions, opening and dumping bags of ingredients into filler equipment, assembling cases, hand placing product onto line, packing finished cartons into cases, performing housekeeping and cleanup while following all safety regulations and ensuring cGMP and quality standards are met. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities-
- Put on all required personal protective equipment and safety gear and perform a safety check on equipment to be used in the daily operations and insure that all safety devices are functioning properly
- Feed filler equipment, manually fill product containers, assemble cases, monitor operating equipment at all times for accuracy and safety
- Keep work area clear and clean, re-seal and put away used components and packing material, break down boxes, place trash in proper receptacles and clean tools and equipment as required
- Attend pre-shift meetings, safety meetings, and other meetings as required

Required Abilities-

- Ability to work the scheduled/ assigned times and occasional or required overtime for the position
- Regular attendance to ensure production requirements are met
- Ability to follow instruction
- Ability to use, or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform the job
- Good communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work individually as well as others as a team in order to meet department and production needs
- Manual dexterity and ability to push, pull, or lift 60lbs or less

Working Conditions-

Position requires extensive lifting and standing 100% of the time, as well as bending and stooping.  Work is carried out in a packaging environment where there is considerable exposure to finished dietary supplements, raw materials, and manufacturing residue and dust and strong odors.

Education/ Skill Level-

-          High school diploma or equivalent preferred

-          Minimum 6 months production or related experience preferred

-          Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer

-          Must be able to pass background check, may be asked to pass a drug/ alcohol screen, only most qualified applicants will be contacted.
