Linux Administrator

Unix/Linux Administrator – Low Latency Solaris/Redhat/SAN/Shell

Unix/Linux Administrator required for my Investment Banking client based in London to work with their Low-Latency Equities team supporting their UNIX/Linux based operating environment.

Successful candidates will be required to provide day-to-day support, be involve with project implementations and maintenance of Linux based systems in a high frequency low-latency trading environment.

Candidates will need the following:

- 5+ years systems administration in Solaris and Linux (SUSE 10/11 and Red Hat 5/6)
- 5+ years performance analysis/tuning and troubleshooting
- 5+ years experience of systems related software (VxVM, VCS, NIS, DNS, NFS, LDAP)
- 3+ years of SAN technology and its impact on the server environment
- 3+ years of Shell scripting (PERL a plus)
- Working knowledge of Market Data Networking, Multicast

Candidates will be required to have experience within an investment banking environment within a low-latency environment to be considered.
