Linux Systems Administartor at Alliantist (Brighton, United Kingdom) (allows remote)
Job Description
We develop technology to better the world we live in. Our purpose will appeal to anyone who gets up in the morning and wants to feel sure that what they do is really making a difference. The role will suit someone who likes autonomy but wants to work within a tight knit organisation. It will offer the chance to continually grow and master next generation technologies as pam continues to evolve.
As system administrator you'll be responsible for the overall operation of our server infrastructure. Like all great sys admins you will be dedicated, have a strong attention to detail and be passionate about the architecture and environment that runs our application. Maintaining the security, integrity and availability of our services is crucial and you'll be responsible for that at a systems level. The role will also involve working with the development team to ensure their operations run smoothly and advising them on the capabilities and opportunities provided by our infrastructure. A key aspect of this role will be ensuring we remain current with developments and technologies to ensure we continue to deliver a seamless experience to our customers.
We provide our services to UK government agencies and two of our platforms operate over secure government networks. Any experience in providing services over the PSN, N3 or PNN would be highly valuable, but a full understanding of them can be provided on the job. Security and confidentially are key when handling government data and a full security vetting process will be required for this position. This is a great opportunity to develop skills and experience in providing any cloud service into the UK public sector.
This is a new role within Alliantist and depending on your ambitions, skills and experience you will help us shape both the current and next generations of our platform.
