Linux Systems Administrator
UNIX Systems Administrator /Linux Systems Administrator/ DBA required for international Investment Bank. RDBMS knowledge around Sybase, Oracle, or MS SQL Server and experience in UNIX Scripting would also be advantageous. You will be working in a mixed environment of various RDBMS and Windows and Linux.
Leading Investment Bank based in London are looking for a Unix Systems Administrator (Linux)/ with a understanding of SQL Server/ Oracle or Sybase RDBMS.
You should have good RDBMS experience, specifically around SQL Server / Oracle / Sybase as well as good experience in Unix Systems Administration (ideally with Linux Redhat) You should have broad experience with Application support, supporting Client Server applications in a mixed environment Linux/Windows. Experience with Unix scripting would be advantageous as well. The role will mainly focus on Unix Systems Administration, and some DBA support, but will also involve some Application Management and Desktop Support as well.
You will be well versed in Stopping/ Starting/ Inputting and exporting in to RDBMS', and able to administrate these databases on a daily basis. If performance issues are encountered your will need to investigate analyse and trouble shoot to find a resolution. You will also be knowledgeable at supporting users from a client server application perspective.
