Linux Systems Administrator - Blackburn - £40k
I am currently looking to recruit a highly experienced Linux Systems Administrator for my client in the Blackburn / Burnley area.
The successful candidates role will be predominately project work focused around the ongoing expansion and improvement of my clients systems. You will be a subject matter expert on Linux within the business and will be required to provide input into new initiatives and provide technical guidance.
Responsibilities will include:
• Virtualisation of the existing environment
• Design and build of new server estates
• Performance tuning
• New server build and implementation
• Security
• Evaluating new technologies and making recommendations
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the administration and development of Linux systems in a medium to large scale environment (ideally 100-500 Servers).
Skills required include:
• Linux systems administration
• MySQL clustering
• Virtualisation
• Disaster recovery and redundancy
• Scripting (Bash, Perl or PHP)
