Liquidation Accountant recruitment
Responsibilities would include:
• Perform all steps required to complete the closure and preparation for liquidation of multiple legal entities within the group structure.
• Liaising with liquidators
• Undertaking due diligence on said companies and working with Tax, Legal, Treasury, Compliance, Entity Accountants and external parties to ensure accounts are reflected accurately and required closure steps are clear and undertaken in good time.
• Liaise with and advise Company Secretary on the reorganisation, capitalisation and other steps to prepare the companies for liquidation and that all documentation is completed.
• Assess the opportunity for further simplification opportunities in the group structure and make recommendations accordingly.
• Manage the engagement of internal and external stakeholders on this project ensuring that roadblocks are overcome quickly; resources are engaged to meet targets and to keep senior stakeholders aware of the overall project status.
Requirements:
- Entity Rationalisation Work: Specific, recent and relevant direct experience in a large company performing internal group restructuring projects
- Accounting: ACA qualification with at least 3-5 years post qualification. Relevant experience in producing monthly management accounts and annual financial statements with a technical understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Project management skills: Strong skills doing work plans, engaging with cross functional teams and communication of progress
- Excellent communication skills
