Liquidity Risk Analyst recruitment
A key client servicing major institutions and OTC markets has opened up an exciting role as a Liquidity Risk Analyst. You will provide robust and prudent risk management in order to meet its overriding objective: to provide members with a central counterparty of the highest quality and to safeguard the interests of the company's shareholders. The bank is looking for a Liquidity Risk Analyst who would be able to support the group's ongoing management reporting and product development requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Treasury team to assess new investment initiatives in various locations and ensure that these are delivered with the risks clearly articulated and prudently managed
- Where appropriate, develop BAU processes to support the risk monitoring and downstream activity from these initiatives
- As required, enhance existing monitoring upon the Treasury portfolio to always ensure full policy compliance and informative management information
- Enhance the utilisation of functionality within the incumbent Treasury Management System automating activity wherever possible, in a cost effective manner
- Develop interest rate risk reporting upon the investment activity, enhancing daily processes and extending stress scenarios
- Work alongside the Treasury front office team and across the Group to identify and analyse potential new investment counterparties
- Develop mark to market P/L activity
- Work with other Risk Management teams to further develop stress testing around the Treasury activity
- Continue evolution of procedures and reporting in place to assist the management around the default of a member firm
Skills Required
- Educated to degree level or equivalent with a demonstrably successful Risk or Treasury background
- Good understanding of financial products, particularly investment banking and retail products
- Experience of running a process within a control framework
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem solving skills, with good attention to detail;
- Ability to work on own initiative, manage workload and priorities for themselves and demonstrate ability to work to both daily and longer term deadlines whilst at the same time considering areas for development;
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of using IT2 Treasury Management System. Bloomberg/Reuters systems experience also advantageous
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, Access and VBA skills preferable
