Liquidity Risk Manager

Overview:

An opportunity has arisen for an individual with a Treasury and/or Risk background to join the EMEA Liquidity Risk Management team on a contractual basis. 

Job Duties: 

• Review regional and legal entity liquidity reporting and stress testing for compliance with established internal and external methodologies and applicable limits

• Review regular liquidity reporting and metrics and challenge unexpected movements.

• Engage with partners in lines of business and other EMEA locations to obtain explanations for variances

• Contribute to EMEA Treasury oversight and governance of regional liquidity risk management processes and procedures ensuring operate consistently with Firm-wide principles

• Assist in EMEA Treasury governance responsibilities in relation to liquidity risk producing regular liquidity risk update reports for regional forums

• Assist in analysis of liquidity in response to ad-hoc senior management or regulatory requests

• Participate in Liquidity Risk Infrastructure (LRI) project to automate and enhance liquidity risk reporting across the EMEA region. Key areas of project work include user testing to ensure delivery in line with business requirements and supporting regional roll out of liquidity systems.

Skills:

• Understanding and keen interest in the development of liquidity risk regulation and management practice. ( UK and/or Basel III LCR)

• Understanding of financial balance sheet concepts

• Knowledge of a range of financial products preferred

• Previous Treasury and /or Risk experience preferred to bring expertise to discussions with key line of business and functional management

• Effective communication both oral and written with senior management from different disciplines across the firm

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, high level of numeracy and a methodical approach to problem solving and defining solutions

• Team player expected to participate in a variety of EMEA Treasury initiatives.
