EMEA Risk Management, in partnership with the line of business management, provides risk coverage to all treasury products and services to clients within the Western European and developed markets of Central and Eastern Europe and, Middle East and Africa.
Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen in the EMEA Risk management team for an individual with strong financial services background to be risk manager supporting TS EMEA diversification strategy. In this role, the individual would report to the Executive Director responsible for the Risk Management of the Liquidity Solutions business unit and support various projects including internal diversification and other new business initiatives currently underway in the EMEA region. The incumbent will assist in reviewing products, exchange control, regulatory requirements, local clearing systems and the development of the necessary supporting Risk Management policy, procedures and system control requirements.
Aside from project responsibilities, the individual will also have involvement in the day to day risk control of the business.
Requirements / Key ResponsibilitiesA Risk Manager within TS must build an effective partnership with the colleagues in order to enable a holistic and effective approach to risk management.
This individual must have or develop an excellent understanding of the products and the associated credit and operational risks in order to support the strategic goals.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Risk or Credit Risk Manager desirable with good knowledge and understanding of:Both credit and operational risk associated with Financial Institutions, Non-Bank Financial Institutions and CorporationsTreasury Services products and the associated credit and operational risksPayment clearing systems and cash settlement processesTypical international Regulatory and exchange requirements and control issuesEither possess, or quickly develop, a good understanding of the bank's control and credit systems
Ability to react quickly and work accurately and methodically (with attention to detail) in a pressurised environment.Confidence in dealing with different levels of management and other stakeholdersGood lateral thinking and communication skills - both written and verbalSelf-disciplined, self-motivated and pro-active work approachProven partnership skillsStrong analytical, negotiation and influencing skills
