Listed Derivatives & Cleared OTC Margin
The Head of LD COTC Margin based in NY will be directly responsible for the oversight of the New York staff of 6. This role will have remit over the US Product Development, Client Relationship Management, Regulatory Market Initiatives and Project Management specific to Listed and Cleared OTC Derivatives Margin. In addition, this individual and the supporting staff will have direct interaction with and influence into the daily operations, working closely with internal business partners and stakeholders, including the Global Collateral Management organization supporting the daily operations in various Service Center locations. This role involves a high degree of interaction with the Sales, Trading and Clearing Front Office, the Treasury Front Office, Client Onboarding and Client Service, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance as well as the Regional Finance team, in addition to many other internal stakeholder groups.
The key responsibilities of the VP - Head of LD COTC Margin:
- Drive and lead team of six to ensure successful performance and completion of daily activities
- Engage and oversee business sponsored and/or regulatory driven projects and work streams.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the firm’s Listed Derivatives Futures and Options and Cleared OTC Derivatives Operating models and infrastructure.
- Influence and provide input to the strategy of the Global Operating Model, the Functions and Processes and associated performance of them in the Listed and Cleared OTC Derivatives Margin teams.
- Lead and serve as a key contributor of the product development and client management initiatives and work streams.
- Consider, adapt and implement solutions for enhancing processes and infrastructure through hands-on collaboration across various stakeholder teams.
- Collaborate with the Change Management and Technology organizations on various business initiatives.
- Become a thought-leader in how to engineer and implement new industry product/process offerings and adhere to new regulatory marketplace demand.
- Understand the firm’s infrastructure used to agree and settle margin (cash noncash) with clients and CCPs for both Listed Derivatives and Cleared OTC Derivatives.
- Thoroughly understand processes needed for the recording of margin activity in the margin platforms and on the books and records (sub ledger) of the firm and ensure performance in these areas.
- Oversee and participate in information gathering exercises around the collection of statistics and metrics specific to the Listed and Cleared OTC Derivatives businesses
- Participate in organizational efforts to monitor and track performance, capacity and production output.
Systems Integration Industry Leadership:
- Participate in technology and other infrastructure change management workstreams. Provide input to and review of Business Requirement Documents to ensure functional requirements are clearly stated and understood by our change management partners
Participation in relevant industry meetings, client events and/or internal working groups as it relates to the development of the business and new product offerings
