Literature and Design Project Manager recruitment
The Literature Manager is responsible for supporting the Head of Corporate Literature with the creation and production of printed materials. This covers all printed marketing materials, stationery, newsletters and magazines produced by GBM (Global Banking and Markets) in all countries.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the Head of Corporate Literature in being the centre of excellence for the creation and production of printed materials acting as consultant for the Account Management team, all international marketing contacts providing them with direction and guidance in respect of literature requirements
- Liaise with internal clients (Account Managers and Bankers) in defining their project requirements, by drawing out the brief, crystallising key messages and converting these to a design proposal
- Manage the development of the design proposal so it matches the requirements of the brief
- Lead project teams within the business in agreeing the proposition, key messages, content hierarchy, and production brief for each piece of literature
- Liaise with stakeholders in determining the appropriate tone and style of copy writing; assign copywriter and facilitate the briefing and client interview process; ensuring copy writing and design are happening in a coordinated manner
- Manage / monitor the budget for each piece of literature; sourcing quotes; presenting to business and ensuring agreed budget is not exceeded
- Ad-hoc daily brand related queries from regional offices
- Ad hoc central marketing projects such as annual Christmas cards, Visual Identity guidelines, MS Office templates, Internal Communications collateral templates, event invitations and banners and corporate stationery
- Identification of new trends and ideas in graphic design and print can be exploited and introduced to GBM to advance the delivery of the marketing plan.
Competencies:
- Project leadership and initiation skills - the ability to gather, synthesize information to make decisions and advise stakeholders on best course of action
- Graphic design background; technical knowledge of design and print production across the full marketing promotional mix, this ideally, would be supported by a portfolio of literature
- Stakeholder relationship management - possessing the gravitas to be persuasive with Business Leaders in leading projects; i.e..: can demonstrate a proven ability to negotiate with stakeholders
- Extensive experience in liaising with and briefing both graphic designers and communications/advertising agencies; a deep understanding of the briefing and creative process
- An understanding of the different types of copy writing; and the ability to advise on which suppliers are best suited to each project
- Experience in managing several (international) projects simultaneously; can demonstrate the ability to adjust personal working style/practices to meet demands of the workload; e.g: suggesting efficiency measures, simplifying processes, renegotiating projects with stakeholders
- Strong personal communications skills including good oral and written English
- Project administration and management experience
- Previous print management experience
- Budget management skills
- Direct experience of brand management and implementation
- Detail conscious, ensuring reliability at all times and committed to producing high quality and professional work in a team environment
- Multicultural experience : working with multiple geographies and cultures
- Strong consultancy, diplomacy and negotiation skills
- Print supplier experience
- Expertise across the full range of marketing tools
