Litigation Lawyers recruitment
Reporting to Senior Counsel in the Legal Services Division, you will be responsible for:
• Acting as instructing solicitor to conduct a range of civil litigation in the High Court
• Appearing in the Magistrates’ Court to prosecute offences and acting as instructing solicitor for trials and appeals
• Advising on the strength of evidence, preparing cases for hearings
• Providing written advice on the performance of the Commission's statutory functions
Requirements:
• Degree holder in Law with good academic record
• Hong Kong-qualified with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience as a solicitor handling High Court commercial litigation (Candidates with more experience will be considered for the post of Counsel)
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex issues and give practical, well reasoned and researched written legal advice
• Knowledge of the structure and operation of the Hong Kong securities and futures industry and markets would be an advantage
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese is essential
