Litigator – Small Claims Alliance Job in Banbury OX16 4QD

Brethertons LLP’s Property Management Team are a leading provider in the residential property debt recovery market, recovering ground rent and service charge on leasehold flats.

 

We a looking for a qualified legal professional with an established reputation for sound litigation advice and fantastic client service to lead the team delivering our ground breaking product – Small Claims Alliance.

This role will involve:-

 

·         Advising our Property Managers on Enforcement of judgements

·         Developing the operational processes and case management system[1] for Small Claims Alliance

·         Supervising the work of the Small Claims Alliance team

·         Dealing with complex issues of law

 

This role will be leading a newly established team within our Property Management Team.  It is envisaged that over time, Small Claims Alliance will grow to become a Litigation product for a wide range of client groups.

 

Essential Knowledge and Skills

 

·         Volume debt recovery experience

·         Knowledge of Small Claims procedures

·         Experience of managing Small Claims on a case management system

·         Experience of managing a team of paralegals

·         Ability to develop junior members of staff using 1:1 coaching skills

·         A relevant legal qualification (e.g. ILEX/Solicitor)

 

Desirable Knowledge and Skills

 

·         A understanding of the LVT process and the risks/benefits for clients

·         Experience of developing a case management system to improve operational processes.
