Position Summary:
The Education Connection Live Chat Advisor provides online sales support and customer service through real-time online interactions on our web properties and through inbound/outbound telephone calls. The EC Live Chat Advisor position answers questions relating to online degree programs, career opportunities, and any other areas pertinent to adults who are contemplating a return to school. The EC Live Chat Advisor will reinforce the individuals’ decision to return to school and match the prospective student directly to a college or university that meets their needs. We provide a comprehensive training program.
Position Responsibilities:
· Monitor Live Chat platform and interact with prospects online
· Conduct interviews and evaluate prospective students readiness to enroll via Chat and telephone
· Maintain up to date product knowledge of partner schools including program offerings, admission procedures, career options, and any other service provided by ECS Advising (Training Provided)
· Ensure high-quality metrics and other sales conversion goals are met
· Exemplify professionalism and a positive attitude for each and every prospective student
· Perform other duties as assigned
Education Other Skills/Requirements:
· BA/BS degree preferred
· Excellent email communication
· PC Software skills – functional knowledge of excel word
· 1-2 years of previous inside sales and/or call center experience
· 1-2 years consultative/relationship building or education sales experience
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings/ weekends
· Must be able to multitask
· Must be able to manage multiple-simultaneous customer interactions online
· Attitude should be open to all changes involved in a rapidly evolving business.
· Commitment to exemplary customer service
· Ability to learn about degree programs, career choices, etc.
