Loan Accountant Job in Wilmington, Delaware Us
The Senior Loan Accountant is responsible to process and ensure all accounting activity is accurately reflected in SBO and the general ledgers of multiple companies. The position will prepare and all necessary reports for loan accounting, including SBO to general ledger reconciliations and loan level roll forwards for multiple legal entities. This position will also be responsible for regular communication with servicers, servicer accounting and subsidiary accounting groups.
Duties:
. Analyzes and process transactional information.
. Update, review and confirm loan accounting system configuration.
. Process month end close including posting, rollforwards and reports.
. Responsible for researching and documenting abnormalities or significant changes.
. Researches and documents technical accounting issues as necessary to ensure compliance with GAAP.
. Ensure compliance with regulatory accounting/reporting requirement.
. Works with Controllers to establish, modify, document and coordinate implementation of accounting, accounting control procedures and general accounting systems.
. Works closely with various levels of management to respond to inquiries regarding data contained servicing data warehouse.
. Researches and responds to inquiries of state and federal examiners and well as internal and external auditors in written and verbal communications.
. Ensure information system transfers are timely and accurately reconciled.
. Prepares account reconciliations and ledger control reports.
Requirements:
Business degree
SBO 2000 experience within a loan accounting dept.
