Loan and Financing Analyst recruitment
We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic person, who is accurate and meticulous and who will enjoy working in a project-based, entrepreneurial environment for a green and renewable energy focused client of ours. Currently our client focuses on wind farms and solar parks in Europe and Emerging Markets to deliver energy efficiently whilst reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
With a strong base of already operational green energy assets and a long development pipeline our client is now looking to recruit a Loan and Financing Analyst in its London office.
The role comprises two main areas of responsibility:
- Administration and management of the expanding loan portfolio, comprising significant senior project finance facilities across Europe and associated treasury products; and
- Assisting with the analysis, negotiation completion of new senior and mezzanine debt financing facilities.
The role will involve extensive liaison both internally (with the accounts, operations and finance teams) and externally (with lenders, auditors and consultants).
Key responsibilities:
Loan Administration
Responsibility for:
- Arranging interest payments and loan repayments for project finance facilities, including updating Calculation and Forecasting models;
- Monitoring lender covenants and providing information as required by the facility agreements, including the negotiation of waiver requests;
- Administering interest and foreign exchange rate swaps and providing information and valuations for financial reporting;
- Monitoring and analysis of power purchase agreement pricing;
- Administering Royalty Agreements for project companies;
- Maintaining the loan and interest records for the project companies;
- Placing funds on deposit and managing guarantees and indemnities facility.
Financing
Assisting the Energy team in:
- Analysis of lenders' financing bids including the manipulation of financial models (in conjunction with our dedicated Financial Modeller);
- Reviewing legal documentation;
- Managing the conditions precedent list in the run up to financial close; and
- Keeping abreast of financing and renewable energy market developments in our core markets.
