Loan Officer/New Accounts-Tacoma
Sound Credit Union, a dynamic, progressive-minded state chartered credit union is seeking an experienced Loan Officer/New Accounts at our Downtown Tacoma Branch. Sound Credit Union has over $1B in assets, a membership base of over 100,000, and 21 branches throughout King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Thurston counties.
The responsibilities of the Loan Officer/New Accounts include accepting, reviewing, and processing completed loan applications; opening new accounts; cross-selling products and services; providing information to members on credit union services or policies; serving as a Notary Public and Signature Guarantee; performing teller duties as needed; and completing routine account and loan maintenance.
Qualified candidates must have two years successful work experience in a financial institution, including prior work in new accounts and lending; tellering experience preferred. Must have knowledge of the fundamentals of lending, and loan collection concepts and practices. Must have strong background in new accounts principles and lending principles. Sales experience preferred. Must be bondable.
