OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
The Loan Servicing Supervisor - Payoffs is responsible for both administrative and technical direction of the loan servicing payoff department. This position oversees payoff posting, wire research, the repo/recovery exception group, and the administration of audits to ensure compliance with polices and procedures.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supervise and monitor the daily activity and production of department staff including hiring, training, and performance management
- Assist in ensuring the department meets or exceeds goals and objectives while complying with the Standard Operation Procedures
- Act as a liason with other departments for operational support by assisting with problem solving issues, running reports, reviewing documents, and updating information
- Work with upper managment to formulate policies, set goals, and create ways to increase efficiency and productivity
- Review accounting ledgers impacted by team's processing to ensure exceptions are resolved within a 10 day time frame
- Ensure group email requests are assigned and completed by staff within department guidelines
- Process maintenance requests for staff within 24 hours of receipt
- Ensure mail is sorted and scanned daily in a timely manner
- Review and respond to a high volume of emails from internal customers that staff supports
- Track daily request volumes, notifying management when overtime is needed and making sure staff is available to complete requests
- Manage team training schedules to ensure cross training in all processes is ongoing
- Provide answers to employees regarding daily processing questions
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Four-year degree in Business, Finance or related field preferred
- 3 years mortgage loan servicing experience
- 2 years previous supervisory or managment experience
- Possess professional oral and written communcation skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule
- Previous PC and MS Office product experience and/or knowledge required
- Strong numeric and analytical aptitude
- Ability to meet goals and deadlines in a fast-paced, highly stressful environment
- Ability to adapt to change
- Knowledge of loan servicing operational processes preferred
- Ability to direct, lead, and motivate
