Hudson Advisors UK Limited (Hudson Advisors UK), based in Central London, manages, services and adds value to investments acquired by Lone Star Funds, including secured and unsecured debt instruments, real estate-related assets and select corporate opportunities.
It services different types of loans and debt instruments and provides real estate asset management for a variety of property types across the UK market involving letting, repositioning and sales. Hudson Advisors UK and its affiliates also supply underwriting, real estate due diligence and valuation services.

Anticipated growth in the UK business has led to the need for Hudson Advisors UK to appoint a loan underwriting specialist to support the underwriting and acquisition of distressed loan investments. These range from distressed debt (RMBS and CMBS) to direct real estate and financial institutions across Europe. This is a unique opportunity to join a team of senior professionals in distressed and non-performing debt and equity markets at a market leader in this sector.
The Role:
- Provide extensive modelling of loan investments using MS Excel
- Conduct due diligence of loans and their documentation
- Calculate valuations
- Prepare and conduct presentations to the investment committee
- Work closely with other teams including Real Estate, Portfolio Management and Legal
Qualifications:
- Strong university degree, ideally in economics
- Professional experience in a leading financial institution, private equity or real estate group
- Experience of all aspects of loan underwriting
- Outstanding MS Excel modelling (building and running), PowerPoint and financial analysis skills
- English as a first language, additional European languages welcome
