Loans Documentation

My client is a leading investment bank based in London and is currently recruiting for a Loans Closer for the Loans Operations team. The overall job function of the role would be to support the Master swap, Secondary Loan Trading business in London by coordinating LMA par and distressed trade settlements.

Key responsibilities: -
• Performing economic affirmations and drafting Trade Confirmations teams to chase for signatures and resolve economic or legal disputes
• Drafting the relevant transfer documentation (including Transfer Certificates, LMA Sub-participation Agreements, Netting Agreements) based on trade capture system and chasing for counterparty signatures
• Submitting Transfer Certificates to administrative agents; liaising with agents and counterparties to determine settlement dates
• Presenting the pricing team with all required transfer documents and information required to prepare pricing calculations
• Working primarily on an electronic settlement platform – ClearPar
• Liaising with trading desk and operations to resolve disputes
• Responsible for between 100-150 concurrent open trades
• Providing weekly updates and additional information to front office and senior management as required

Required skills: -

• 2-3 years’ experience working with Secondary loan trading documentation
• Ability to compile, validate, discuss and negotiate key aspects of trade documentation
• Strong understanding of key market practices associated with pricing and settlement
• Very strong oral and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and good organizational skills
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize different tasks
• Ability to determine if escalation is required
• Motivation to understand the process and ask the necessary questions
• Strong sense of teamwork and client service
• Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Prior knowledge of LoanIQ and ClearPar would prove beneficial
