A local company that has established itself over the Southeast has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who can lead in all aspects of maintenance to help keep equipment and facilities in top operational condition. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Repair, maintain, and provide preventative maintenance to ensure all cranes in plant are functioning properly - Maintenance and repairs of all material handling equipment - Inspection and documentation for repair and replacement of all lifting apparatuses, i.e. head frames, chains, slings, jigs, etc. - Inspection and repairs of process tanks to maintain proper function - Inspection, maintenance, and repairs of galvanizing preheater - Maintenance of kettle and kettle controls, i.e. all parts of burner system, control panels, and blowers - Maintenance on air compressors, hydraulics, blowers, piping, electrical and miscellaneous items - Maintenance of any future plant additions or improvements - General office maintenance - Required to travel to other plants when deemed absolutely necessary by general manager - Help in implementation of maintenance program, after proper assessment is made. - Ordering and maintaining plant supplies related to production - Supervise and work with all outside vendors brought in to do any type of maintenance work - Will be involved with safety program - Insure plant is operating safely - Providing proper tools to carry out maintenance duties, this does not include large plant specific items Working hours: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm Basic Qualifications: --Vocational or tech school two year degree and/or three to five years experience in general electrical and equipment maintenance and repair --Good communication skills, i.e. good listening and verbal skills. --Good people skills, i.e. ability to work well with others. --Good analytical skills --Previous maintenance experience of overhead cranes is a must --Previous electrical experience --Prior knowledge of general plant maintenance --Candidates must successfully complete background and drug screens Randstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
