With our commitment to serving both local residents and businesses, Patch Sales leverages our platform to help connect the two, offering creative solutions that meet customers’ advertising needs. The team does more than simply sell a suite of products and generate revenue for Patch. They are active members of their community, ambassadors of the Patch brand, tireless multi-taskers, go-getters and problem-solvers. Working with any and all local advertisers -- whether it’s a mom and pop or a large regional client -- Sales provides affordable, local online advertising opportunities. Our executives not only thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, but they’re also goal-oriented, working hard to exceed targets, and team players, effectively collaborating with Editorial, Marketing and Finance. Ultimately, Sales teaches customers about how Patch advertising products can improve their own brand awareness, marketing strategy and overall success. At the same time, the emerging inside sales unit will help Patch reach out to businesses through new channels, complementing our existing sales operations.
Role: Local Online Sales Executive
As one of Patch’s Local Online Sales Executives, you’ll work closely with our advertisers as their in-town online advertising expert. You’ll know your own Patch platform (and others) backwards and forwards so you can present complete advertising solutions. You may even decide to host a local seminar on how to achieve the best results by advertising on the web. As the leading local business executive you will attend chamber and trade functions, get involved in community groups, head up charitable efforts, and maintain a highly visible presence in the business community. Combining superior digital marketing expertise with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to ‘close’ deals, you will ultimately sell Patch advertising inventory, champion Patch’s unique business model, and support the company’s long-term vision and success.
This position covers a territory that includes Chicago, Illinois's suburban Winetka, Evanston, Wilmette and Glencoe.
