Job Description
Position: Local Route Delivery Driver – CDL Class A or B License
Location: 1 opening in Denver (CDL Class A or B License) and 6 in Colorado Springs (CDL Class A required)
Report to: Distribution Manager
Position Summary:
· Delivery driver – Driving a Single Axel Route Truck
· Deliver dairy products to accounts.
· Maintain a professional working relationship with all customers.
· Pick and check orders with customer, put product away, and load and unload trucks.
· Account for all products on load and for all money collected on the invoices.
· Take care of all paperwork relating to load.
· Calculate invoices.
· Input orders, deposits, inventory, and adjustments into a handheld computer device.
· Perform inventory control duties.
· Help with warehouse type work in the milk vault.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Must possess a CDL Class A and/or a CDL Class A
· One year of local route sales/delivery and customer service experience
· Will be required to use handheld computer – previous experience is preferred
· Detail oriented – good math skills
· Communicate well with customers and co-workers
· Lift at least 50 to 60 pounds on a continuous basis
· Hand truck – use a two-wheel hand truck with a minimum of 300 pounds
· Milk hook – use a milk hook that drags a minimum of 220 pounds
· Climb in and out of truck cab and refrigerated milk compartment of the truck
· Must work in all weather conditions
· Must work early morning hours
· Will be subject to DOT requirements including a background check and drug screen
· Must be available to start shift in the early morning
