Localization Associate (TCG)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Localization manager, this role is responsible for coordinating the localization of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) and preparing the content for print. This position will be responsible for project coordination and communicating localization issues and changes to internal and external stakeholders. Also, this role is responsible for final product and packaging proofs. Primary responsibility is to assist with the TCG.

 

Primary Responsibilities

·         Coordinate the localization of the TCG content.

·         Maintain excellent working relationships with and coordinate communications between internal and external contacts, including vendors, distributors, and editors.

·         Prepare and deliver files to the localization vendor and proof completed files.

·         Manage any localization issues that arise by investigating and resolving them promptly.  

·         Answer any localization-related questions from internal and external contacts.

·         Manage TCG files through approval process by forwarding files, checking edits, implementing changes, and proofing the cards and packaging.

·         Responsible for other project coordination work based on business needs.

·         Seek to optimize and simplify processes as they are developed with a focus on continual improvement.

 

Qualifications

·         2 - 3 years of demonstrated project coordinator experience with good communication and organizational skills.

·         Demonstrated experience with localization projects and cross cultural awareness.

·         Detail-oriented, dedicated to accuracy, and able to maintain focus under pressure. QA experience preferred.

·         Excellent writing, speaking, and presenting skills in English. Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus.

·         Ability to manage time efficiently and organize work effectively.

·         Ability to handle a variety of assignments, balance priorities, and meet deadlines.

·         Ability to work independently and also demonstrate capacity to work in a team.

·         Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

·         Experience playing with the TCG is a plus.

·         BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience.
