Role Summary/Purpose

Sales Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This position has sales leadership responsibility for locomotives, Modernization and Services for Russia and assigned CIS territory. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Specify critical resource needs required to meet business objectives.
  • Develop customer strategies, campaign plans, and leadership in their execution.
  • Define entitlement and identify areas to penetrate and grow profitability.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers in the region in order to understand pending railway regulations and enable GE input on these regulations.
  • Develop influential relationships with assigned customers with key stakeholders and develop strategies to win profitable business from those customers.
  • Support customer satisfaction evaluation, plans, and follow through.
  • Interface directly with the marketing organization to drive high value solutions leveraging the GE portfolio.
  • Integrate information, resources, and activities within the region and/or among global region.
  • Integrate and lead the technical support team, including contracts, finance, product support, and others in the implementation of customer strategies.
  • Develop contract Structure, pricing strategies and competitive analysis for deals to successfully negotiate and close deals.
  • Work closely with Global Growth Organization teams as required.
  • Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Marketing or Sales.
  • Experience in the railway industry, preferably locomotive sales.
  • Fluent in both Russian and English (written and spoken).
