We are seeking a Logistics Analyst - Freight Optimization, with a passion for analysis, to implement tools to optimize routings for Transportation Supervisors in the field. This position will be responsible for developing rules for routing and reviewing routings daily to drive cost improvements and working with Transportation Supervisors in the field. The analyst will develop report to measure costs and use metrics to drive change in routing. Extensive analytical analysis of routes will be needed to drive improved results.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Transportation / Logistics or equivalent.
Strong analytical skills used to compose correspondence, gather and summarize data for reports and identify solutions to a variety of service issues.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office programs - Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
Proficient in SAP and Business Objects or related querying tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including listening skills
High sense of urgency and follow up skills
Strong organizational skills-ability to stay organized
Passion for the customer
Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize competing tasks or demands that may be deadline driven

Preferred:
Knowledge of transportation industry and freight carriers.
Knowledge of routing and building load plans and knowledge of TL and LTL carriers.
