Western Refining, a publicly traded Fortune 500 Company, is seeking to hire a Logistics Controller with 7-10 years proven experience to assume the responsibility for controlling logistic assets to ensure proper control procedures are in place to adequately control and protect the assets of the company’s logistics operations to include systems and procedures implementing changes as appropriate.

Additionally the Logistics Controller will supervise the senior field accountant and the office support staff accountant, establishing annual performance goals, allocating resources, assessing annual performance, and determining individual merit, incentive and/or promotional increases.

The selected candidate will be required to have a CPA, above average analytical skills, be detail oriented, have business acumen, plus have effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting AND 7 or more years related experience.

CPA is required.

Advanced substantial breadth of knowledge of business, industry, or a professional field in order to integrate concepts and theories and develop business strategies.

Above average written skills to effectively compose complex reports, proposals and business plans, oral skills to communicate in a courteous and professional manner, and interpersonal skills to negotiate key business strategies or significant agreements favorable to the Company, reconciling differences to arrive at acceptable solutions.

Advanced mathematical skill to calculate and interpret data using percentages, ratios, averages and medians.

Must have the ability to solve unique problems and accomplish departmental, divisional, and organizational goals.

Some travel may be required to refinery locations.
