Logistics Manager Job in Broomfield 80021, Colorado US

Responsible for developing a logistics strategy to optimize product delivery to customers. Enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is independent and collaborative in nature. Provides regular updates to manager on project/account status.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

·         Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.

·         Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.

·         Maintain real-time reports of all in-transit freight operations and provide internal / external communications

·         Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.

·         Direct or coordinate comprehensive logistical or reverse logistical functions for product life cycles, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, recycling, reuse, or final disposal of resources.

·         Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records.

·         Direct distribution center operations to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.

·         Negotiate transportation rates or services.

·         Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.

·         Monitor warehouse related charges from accuracy perspective and provide storage cost estimations /accruals for month end closing (frequency: once per month); Ensure solid supporting documentation for warehouse charges.

·         Maintain stock reports reflecting goods movements (by product, by day) and reconcile inventory level by product with Logistics TPE (frequency: maintained daily, reconciled monthly).

·         Inform TPE Logistics about every delivery of goods to Customers so that to ensure timely invoicing and revenue recognition (frequency: daily).

·         Monitor charges related to services performed on goods delivered to warehouse (such as reworks, accessories handling, etc) in view of their accuracy. Ensure solid supporting documentation for services performed in the warehouse. Provide service cost estimations/accruals for month end closing (frequency: monthly).

·         Establish secure and cost effective model of accessories management (company or Customer ownership) in warehouse.

·         Close cooperation with other departments for improvement requests raised by Customers in relation to goods logistics (such as packaging, labeling, shipping files etc).

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Bachelor degree in operations/logistics management or related fields.

·         Demonstrated experience in inventory management, accounting, customer service, and post-manufacturing operations. 

·         Five years of work experience in Logistics, cable or telecom industry experience preferred.

·         Aptitude for complex spreadsheets and inventory systems.

·         Proficient with MS Office applications.

·         Professional demeanor to effectively deal with customer-facing problems.

·         Thorough knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.

·         Excellent international communication skills – written and verbal.

·         Travel up to 20 percent of time.

·         Support off-shift hours to support global operations communications (25% of the time).
