This major organisation has recently restructured their logistics department and as a result a position exists in the newly formed transport team to plan and coordinate deliveries throughout NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a reputable market leader within their field and have exposure to career progression opportunities that only a major corporate can offer.
The position reports directly into the transport manager and is responsible for the efficient, timely and cost effective delivery of company product in NSW. The organisation has an extensive customer base of commercial and domestic customers throughout all of NSW and process a high volume of product deliveries from Monday – Friday. This role is solely responsible for planning all deliveries via their own fleet and that of a 3rd party supplier. This position works closely with other internal departments including customer service and production to ensure the transport function operates efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have transport planning experience and will have a sound knowledge of NSW in particular Sydney Metropolitan. You will also possess a strong level of IT skills with the ability to plan and schedule manually and through a transport management system. Communications skills are essential to engage with internal departments and customers. A positive work ethic and being career driven will be highly regarded as well as being able to provide excellent supporting references.
