Job Description

Monitor vehicle logistics systems related to product tracking and freight payment.  Analysis of data fed to the system by various logistics partners including ocean ship lines, truck carriers, rail carriers and yard operators.  Provide various reports to current customers upon request.  Assist with the design and testing for new features added to the system. 

Major Functions and Responsibilities:

·         Monitor system alerts and reports to insure the operation of the system on a daily basis.

·         Provide help desk support to both the customer as well as our customer’s logistics partners.

·         Assist account managers and senior analysts with data inquiries as needed.

·         Performs application and data analysis when needed; analyzes and reviews report and interface data for accuracy

·         Develop test cases using design documents

·         Conduct testing and write up all issues found

·         Re-testing of issues after fixes are created to confirm testing passes

·         Resolves questions and takes appropriate action when requested information is not included

·         Perform other duties as assigned

 

Skills and Knowledge:

·         Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical information to non-technical users

·         Inherent ability to prioritize and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, complex environment

·         Persistent ability to follow-up, bring projects to completion and meet deadlines

·         Solid technical knowledge, including relational database architecture and languages such as SQL is desirable

·         Solid ability to quickly learn new technologies and their application environment

·         Strong analytical skills required, specifically the ability to determine the root cause of an issue and recommend options for correcting it.

·         Software testing experience is desirable, but not required.

 

Experience:

·         0-4 years work experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as Engineering or Computer Science, or a degree in logistics

 

Software Utilized:

·         Database (Access, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) experience highly desired

·         Microsoft Office Suite

·         Microsoft Visio
