Logistics Specialist
A leading global investment bank is looking to hire a Logistics expert to join their Commodities team for a period of 9 months
The responsibilities include;
Apply, check and negotiate Letters of Credits and Stand-by Letters of Credits
Liaise with the Desk / Middle Office on vessel nomination, change of vessels, cargo loading, cargo unloading
Manage claims, quality, quantity, demurrage
Manage inventory and warehousing matters and update systems, including reconciliation
Issue and check invoices and handle settlement
Handle customs clearance matters for import and export
Resolve discrepancies and disputes
Draft sales/purchase contracts and follow up
Check incoming sales/purchase contracts and follow up
Port visits: get to know the efficiency of the port. Meet the port agents
Mine visits: physically see the location, infrastructure and meet the operations people.
Client visits to meet operations people, participate in negotiations of contract about logistics terms
Candidates should have a background in Trade Finance and Commodities and be ready for a challenging and exciting role.
