Logistics Supervisor (1365)
Location: Shelbyville, TN 37162

Description

The Logistics Supervisor position provides guidance, direction, and supervision for the Logistics Coordinator functions.  It will establish and maintain objectives and parameters for the team based on corporate business plan and company objectives.  Also responsible for leading, training, and mentoring all team members as well as to maintaining discipline and procedures in accordance with the CKNA Guidelines.

Required Skills

  1. Supervise Transportation team members in order to ensure proper priorities and compliance to corporate plans and company objectives are established and maintained
  2. Lead the team members to ensure operations are efficient and timely
  3. Oversee Logistics activities in support of new product launch activities
  4. Oversee MTCR tracking and idea generation for Logistics
  5. Participate and support MTCR committee meetings and reporting
  6. Develop and apply tools to determine annual inbound freight budget and tracking
  7. Formalize transportation processes
  8. Re-engineer processes based on detailed data analysis and flow charting of transportation functions
  9. Develop relationship with CKMX counterparts (best practices, transportation cost improvements, freight consolidation, etc.)
  10. Monitor departmental results to measure against expectations --- re-prioritize team member tasks/duties as needed to meet targets.
  11. Routine duties including attending internal CKNA meetings, email responses, information requests, team member relation issues, etc….
  12. Promote 5S and safety standards of Transportation functions.  
  13. Perform other duties as necessary.
