LOGISTICS / SUPPLY CHAIN GRADUATE - ESSEX

This is a great opportunity for a LOGISTICS / SUPPLY CHAIN GRADUATE to work in a worldwide company at their Harlow site in the role of Plant Logistics Supervisor. This is a permanent position which is ideal for a recent graduate in Logistics / Supply Chain with some related work experience, who is looking to join a leading company in a progressive position.

The ideal candidate will be a Graduate in LOGISTICS / SUPPLY CHAIN with strong knowledge in MS Excel, SAP or ERP and familiarity with the warehouse environment. Candidates need to be commercially aware and display initiative and have at least 1 year work experience in Logistics.

JOB PURPOSE:

Provide support to the Logistics function.

DUTIES:

Undertake inventories in the warehouse and the outside storage areas on site

Use SAP software and Excel databases

Accompany UK Logistics Operational Manager on visits to suppliers

Carry out any investigative work to improve the warehouse service to the manufacturing operation

Gain an understanding of the company logistics policies in order to adapt to apply to the Harlow Manufacturing Plant

Work closely with the UK Logistics Operational Manager to improve the operation of the Plant Logistics function.

Supervise the day to day operation of the logistics provider to ensure that they meet the required service to both internal and external customers.

REQUIRED PROFILE:

Advanced knowledge in the use of MS Excel

SAP software or other ERP software knowledge

Logistics experience in order to quickly understand the operation of the Harlow Plant Warehousing operation. For example a graduate who has completed a sandwich degree with a year in logisitcs work would be ideal.

Be able to work without supervision

Able to supervise warehouse personnel to carry out plant requirements.

Proactive in taking ownership of the daily issues.

Degree or post graduate qualification in Logistics

Some work experience in logistics is essential
