Logistics Technician I-III

Duties and Responsibilities: Support instruction delivery, classroom preparation, course handouts, and orientation/graduation ceremonies; Support vehicle scheduling in preparation for and during training exercises, graduation ceremonies, and other times when official transportation is needed; Vehicle preparation (fuel, oil, tires, cleaning) and usage coordination with fleet management officer Participate as a role player in DS courses Organize, compile, type, proof, and edit courseware documents, lesson plans and PowerPoint presentations Support coordination activities between Program Managers and DSTC Registrar/staff Support role player vendor price quote solicitation preparation and role player statements of work Provides logistical and general support by performing any and all tasks associated with receiving, unpacking, storing, assembling and issuing supplies, materials and equipment Inspect received/delivered goods, maintain inventory/logistics records, and allocate storage space, and/or delivers those goods and materials to the Receiving Office. Maintains storage areas in a neat and clean condition Monitor depletion rate of supplies, materials and equipment. Notifies supervisor when replenishment and/or repairs and maintenance is required. Takes follow-up action, as directed, to assure a prompt and proper receipt of items Assist in student record management, as directed Picks up and delivers official mail and special delivery items Escorts un-cleared building maintenance/equipment repair/delivery personnel, when necessary Perform other related duties as assigned Knowledge/Skill Required: This position requires strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; Working knowledge of MS Office suite and/or other general office applications; Working knowledge in military, law enforcement, and/or Government security operations, preferred; Working knowledge in training course administrative/logistics; Knowledge of supply and logistics record keeping/management (supply/logistics forms, supplies, materials inventory, and the status report preparation; *Must possess a valid driver?s license and good driving record; U.S. citizenship required; Must be able to meet physical requirements (walking, standing, bending and lifting of medium to heavy objects (50-75 lbs.). Eighty percent of the work is active, twenty percent sedentary; and Practical exercises occur both inside and outside of regular work hours. The exercises are conducted year round and in a variety of outdoor environmental conditions. Incumbent will be expected to travel to other training venues and to be away from the Diplomatic Security Training Center for multiple consecutive days. Required Education/Experience: Level I: - Two or more years experience providing logistics, warehouse, and property management/accountability. Level II: - Three or more years experience providing logistics, warehouse, and property management/accountability. Level III: - Four or more years experience providing logistics, warehouse, and property management/accountability. College degree is preferred, but demonstrated work experience will be considered.
