London City based Brokerage house seek an Oil Products Marketing Manager / Oil Sales. Primary responsibility is to have a constant dialogue with existing and potential customers to maintain and further develop client’s crude and refined products offerings. Focus is to grow and develop clients Oil OTC contracts, with a specific focus on products, specifically middle distillates. The role is highly technical and the successful candidate must have an outstanding understanding of Excel. You will work with the Director, Oil Marketing to identify opportunities to grow volume and revenue from the Oil products OTC market;
• Manage the relationships with existing Oil products customers;
• Identify and develop new product opportunities in Oil products;
• Work with the clearing house to ensure correct margining of new products and correct margin offsets are created between new and existing products
Assist with the general oil team in identifying volume and revenue trends from existing customers and work within the team to manage/address any volume anomalies
Essential skills are
- Excellent customer relationship, presentation and written and verbal skills
- Commercial experience of working with Oil OTC sales and trading desks, specifically at Banks
- Strong understanding of the physical oil markets and related products
- Advanced knowledge of MS Access and/or Excel
- Advanced knowledge of front end trading applications, including ISVs and Bank supported front ends
- Strong understanding of the trade cycle, including the role of clearing in listed as well as OTC markets
• Prior Account Management Experience
• Existing customer relationships with Buy side firms, hedge funds, etc
• Project management experience
- Good customer-facing and presentation skills
