UBS is a leading global financial services firm. Our Investment Bank is one of the world’s top global investment banking and securities firms, providing a full spectrum of products to institutional and corporate clients, intermediaries, government and hedge funds worldwide.
Experienced candidate required to join our EMEA Securities team, which forms part of the Securities Utility. The London Global Custody team provide a bespoke service to selected clients – often supporting high profile, sensitive transactions.
Key aspects of the role:
- Daily processing of LGC client transactions
- Ensuring adherence to FSA CASS regulations
- Participate in involvement of migration to new platform
- Communicate and escalate risk to managers and stakeholders
- Frequent interaction with internal and external audit and compliance
- Work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Adhere to performance and risk framework
This is an excellent opportunity to interface with a wide cross section of internal and external clients and will ensure a thorough understanding of the operational process. The individual will be expected to demonstrate a high level of drive and commitment in all aspects of the role.
Requirements:
- Graduate calibre or equivalent combined with knowledge of core financial products - IAQ Affiliate desirable.
- Must have previous exposure from a similar banking Operations environment with a proven track record in solving day-to-day process problems – understand trade cycles of products and activity that is involved around custody processing.
- Proactive approach in understanding the root cause of exceptions to improve efficiency and client service levels.
- Ability to maintain and build existing relationships with all areas that Settlements interface with on a daily basis.
- High capabilities in maintaining accuracy and integrity of data - reduce exceptions and workload through best practice
- Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the professional, ethical and legal standards required in Operations.
- Confident user of MS Office (Excel and Word).
