London Quantitative/Algo Trading System Developer/Support (C++/Unix/Perl/Python) recruitment

My client is a rapidly expanding and very successful multi-asset class quantitative trading firm, with teams in both New York and London. The firm designs and development automated trading algorithms using high advanced mathematical and statistical modelling techniques, combined with cutting edge high performance technology.

Through continued focus on growing the London team and an ongoing commitment to bringing on board top technical talent, the firm is seeking a junior to mid level developer to take a key role on the trading team in a role that will encompass both development and support. You will join a fast paced, dynamic and high performance environment and you will take responsibility for the market open and close of the automated system, responding to external market alerts and interfacing with exchanges to support clients. You will work closely with developer and quantitative analysts and you will quickly become an expert in the quantitative trading field. Technically you will need to be expert with C++, Perl, Sed/Awk and UNIX, with strong communication skills and great problem solving ability.

The role is ideally suited to a talented C++/Perl developer, with a real interest and passion for quantitative trading and the ability to face a very steep learning curve. You will work in a flat management structure, in an open and collaborative culture that offers amazing compensation potential (unrivalled bonus potential over recent years).

The ideal candidate will have prior financial experience (candidates with experience in the high frequency/quantitative trading space would be highly desirable) however the firm will also consider talented candidates from other fields if they can demonstrate superior technical skills and a great aptitude for the space.
