Position Summary

At Genworth, we are always seeking talented sales professionals prepared to contribute to the growth of our long term care insurance sales. The LTC RVP is a key member of our sales organization whose primary responsibility will entail making long term care insurance sales through the Financial Institutions distribution channel. The LTC RVP must build relationships with Genworth’s national account partners (comprised of banks, wirehouses and broker dealers) within a defined sales territory. Products distributed would include individual Long Term Care, Linked Benefit (TLC) and LTC Business Solution (Multi-Life) products. A successful candidate will demonstrate a broad perspective and knowledge of the financial services industry with particular focus on long term care insurance. Each LTC RVP will be expected to demonstrate a consultative sales approach to provide long term care solutions for our customers. Successful candidates must work closely with Genworth employees in marketing, compliance and sales management to build positive relationships with financial professionals at Genworth’s national account partners.

Job Responsibilities

The LTC RVP must develop and maintain positive relationships with the financial professionals who are affiliated with Genworth’s national account partners. These financial professionals include financial advisors, financial planners and other sales professionals including field sales leadership. The LTC RVP will serve as a marketing and technical expert who represents Genworth and is responsible for educating and motivating financial professionals to sell Genworth’s long term care insurance products to their clients.

Key responsibilities include:
? Develop, maintain and enhance strong relationships with Genworth’s national account partners including producers and firm sales leadership.
? Achieve sales goals through positioning of Genworth offerings within assigned sales territory.
? Work effectively with peer LTC RVPs to mentor and share best practices.
? Effectively utilize Genworth provided technology, marketing resources, and other sales support tools
? Achieve specific levels of sales activities each week
? Generate timely written and verbal reports of sales activities and sales results for ongoing management review
? Develop and follow comprehensive business plan in partnership with Genworth internal wholesaler sales partner and other sales support colleagues designed to deliver territory production goals
? Develop and maintain positive and effective working relationship with Genworth internal sales support teams
? Consult with Genworth’s national account partners (including centers of influence, sales desks and top producers) to coordinate on sales concepts and value-added tools to best position Genworth’s LTC products
? Develop thorough understanding of customers' marketing and distribution strategies to gain share and increase Genworth’s LTC sales
? Execute on production goals for each assigned firm
? Educate and train financial advisors on market positioning, LTC product differentiation and Genworth's value proposition
? Attend regular, mandatory meetings with other Genworth sales professionals and Genworth sales management

Basic Qualifications
? Must reside in assigned sales territory (within 50 miles driving distance of territory)
? College degree or 5+ years sales experience (wholesaling preferred)
? Understanding of Financial Institution distribution models
? Ability to travel extensively (40+ weeks per year, 3-4 days per week)
? Demonstrated ability to effectively manage sales territory
? Excellent communication and sales skills
? Ability to assist financial partners in the presentation, negotiation and closing of potential sales
? Master complexities of all Genworth LTC products and demonstrated ability to recommend products appropriate for each individual consumer
? Display integrity and professionalism at all times

Preferred Qualifications
? Extensive prior Long Term Care Insurance sales experience
? Financial Institutions wholesaling experience preferred
? Strong executive presence, interpersonal skills, problem solving, presentation skills and relationship management capabilities
? Competent user of the latest sales technology
? Strong organizational and time management skills, record of driving tasks to completion
? Demonstrated track record of developing business plans, managing a territory and exceeding production goals
? Team player who facilitates a common goal/purpose; proven ability to create strong alliances with customers and distribution partners
? Maintain an active life and health insurance license
