Longhaul Travel Consultant, Dublin & Kerry, €20,000

As part of the Company’s continued growth plan, recruitment has now begun for longhaul travel consultants, based in their Dublin  Kerry offices.

Role: Long haul travel consultant
Salary: €20,000 - €30,000 + Uncapped Commission
Location: Dublin
Start Date: Immediately, but will wait for the right candidate

An understanding and previous experience of the travel market is a must for this position.

Ideal Candidate:

• The ideal candidate will have a number of years experience dealing with the longhaul travel market.
• You will be a well travelled individual, with excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• You must be an energetic and highly motivated person, focused on growing the business.
• You will have a flexible approach and be willing to try new ideas.
• Previous marketing / telesales experience would be a distinct advantage.

Role:

• We are looking for experienced (5+ years) travel consultants that are at ease with Tele-Sales as well as dealing with people by appointment.
• You will be working as part of a very experience team you will be dealing with all queries as well as running your own desk.
• You have experience across the business, primarily dealing with Long-Haul; trans-continental, honeymoons, business and corporate travel
• You will be highly motivated, organised and have a high level of attention to detail.

Other skills:

• Selling tailor made itineraries to clients on a one to one basis
• Ensuring all calls are efficiently handled
• Recommending and suggesting different holiday options to clients
• Dealing with suppliers on comprehensive range of services including sun holidays, ski holidays, long haul holidays and escorted tours
• Ensuring all guest’s requests are answered i.e. brochure requests, confirmations etc.
• Processing online bookings and replying to email enquiries
• Chasing up on all unconfirmed individual and group bookings
• Constantly monitoring availability and close out/open up to different rate codes
• Offering good value and great service based on competent knowledge
• Cash operations
• Participation in trade shows
